How many 5-star reviews do you need?

Enter your Google rating and review count to see what it takes to reach your goal, and how many customers you'd need to ask.

Rating you want
Of the customers you ask, how many leave a review?

A rough guess is fine. Adjust it once you know your own numbers.

To reach 4.5 stars you need at least

24more 5-star reviews

If a few aren't 5 stars (new reviews averaging 4.8), plan for about 40.

How it's worked out

Your rating is the average of all your reviews. We count how many new 5-star reviews it takes for that average to reach your goal. For example, 40 reviews at 4.2 stars need 24 more 5-star reviews to average 4.5.

Why it's an estimate

Google shows your rating to one decimal place, so your exact average may be a little higher or lower. And the more reviews you already have, the more it takes to move the number.

The honest way to get there

Ask every customer, by email or with a QR card on your counter. Don't offer rewards or only ask happy customers: Google removes those reviews. Read the rules.
